Ravioli reusable packaging
It's very simple. Select your products in the shop as usual and proceed to checkout. After you have entered your delivery address, you can choose to have your order in reusable packaging on the shipping page.
The return takes place in three steps:
1. Scan the QR code on the inside of the ravioli packaging
2. Follow the folding instructions and save the digital shipping label that is displayed on your mobile phone
3. You can now drop off your ravioli packaging at any DHL location (parcel shop, post office, packing station). Show the digital label and drop off your ravioli packaging.
Scan the QR code on the inside of the ravioli packaging. Follow the instructions and enter your email address under 3. As soon as you have handed in your ravioli packaging and it has arrived at the Ravioli warehouse, the voucher will automatically be sent to your email address.
The simple answer: nothing. Ravioli does not impose penalties. The aim is, of course, to keep as many ravioli as possible in circulation. This is the only way we can effectively reduce CO₂ emissions compared to single-use cardboard boxes. So please return your ravioli packaging as intended.
If the volume of products you have in your shopping cart exceeds the maximum filling volume of a large ravioli package, the option will be automatically hidden and will not be visible to you.
It depends. Yes, in most cases it makes more sense to use things multiple times than to throw them away (and recycle) after one use. But not always. If you take CO₂ emissions as a guideline, the cumulative emissions of the reusable alternative over the life of the product must be lower than those caused by disposable products. In principle, the sooner the better. After just two cycles, ravioli are lower than the CO₂ emissions caused by disposable packaging of the same weight.
Ravioli reusable packaging can be reused several times. After two cycles, it reaches the ecological break-even point. With a service life of ten cycles, packaging waste is reduced by 90% and CO₂ emissions associated with the packaging are reduced by 80%. The substitute that is replaced must be considered on a case-by-case basis and can lead to slight deviations in the savings potential.
The logistics emissions are taken into account in the calculations and are almost negligible compared to the emissions that arise in the production of ravioli - but also cardboard boxes. Important: Logistics emissions also arise when recycling cardboard boxes after use. Cardboard boxes do not decompose and recycle as if by magic in the blue bin. They are usually collected by municipal cleaning services and transported to recycling plants for further processing.
Ravioli reusable packaging is made from recycled polypropylene - with a recycled content of 60-70% in the raw material. Polypropylene is a plastic that is particularly light and at the same time robust and weather-resistant. The material is therefore particularly suitable for producing packaging that is designed to withstand multiple cycles. Recycled polypropylene is currently the most suitable and sustainable material available.
The entire cycle should be as local as possible. Ravioli packaging is therefore manufactured in Bavaria. Larger runs are also sometimes produced in Italy or Serbia.
Ravioli packaging is processed, cleaned and made fresh for the next cycle by Ravioli in Hamburg.
If possible, return broken ravioli packaging to us. We can pass on discarded packaging directly to our manufacturer, who shreds it on site in Bavaria. The resulting granulate is then melted down and used to make new products.
